MEMORY VERSES

In the Bible we are told to lay up God's words in our hearts and souls, and bind them as a sign on our hands. Because Scripture memory is so important, this will be a part of Operation Timothy.

All of the following verses must be memorized in order for you to work with the campers next summer. These are the verses that can help you lead a soul to eternity with God, and we cannot stress the importance of learning them!

NOTE: Verses are listed here in ESV. Please feel free to learn these in any version you feel comfortable with.

Romans 3:23

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

Romans 6:23

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"

Romans 5:8

"But God shows His love fo us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us"

Romans 10:9

"because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"

Romans 10:10

"For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved"

Romans 10:13

"For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved'"

Romans 5:1

"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ"

Romans 8:1

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"

Romans 8:38-39

"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord"
